If a guest is breaking one of the Work Culture or House Rules you’ve set,you can cancel the reservation.

Before you’ve accepted a reservation

We have a number of checks in place to make sure you receive qualified guests. That said, you can decline an individual reservation request and it won’t negatively impact your listing’s placement in search results.

After you’ve accepted a reservation

If you’ve already accepted the reservation, you can cancel it. You may be subject to cancellation penalties if the guest hasn’t broken any Rules.

We ask everyone who uses for a few pieces of information before they work with us. Guests need to have this info completely filled out before they can make a reservation request. This info helps make sure you know who to expect, and how to contact the guest.’s requirements for guests include:

Full name
Email address
Confirmed phone number
Introductory message
Agreement to your House Rules
Payment information

Guests are expected, but not required, to have a profile picture. You may also require guests to provide ID before booking your space.

Signing up for and listing your space is completely free.
Once you receive a reservation, we charge a service fee for hosts, generally 8.5%, to help cover the cost of running the business.

The price you charge for your listing is completely up to you. To help you decide, you can search for comparable listings in your city or neighborhood to get an idea of market prices.’s pricing framework sets the base price and lets you set your prices to go up or not. You’re always responsible for your price, the pricing framework is based on the type, the amenities you are providing, location of your listing, the demand, and other factors.

You can sign up using your email address, Facebook account, or Google account .Signing up and creating a Remotely account is free.

After you sign up, be sure to complete your account before booking a reservation.

We encourage all guests to complete their bookings through our website before meeting in person to best ensure their safety and privacy.

There are many ways to learn more about the place to stay and the host without visiting the property, including:

  • Private messaging
  • Profile verifications
  • Reviews
  • Verified photography

To cancel a reservation :

  1. Go to Bookings and find the trip you want to cancel
  2. Click Change or cancel

**Note that there’s a 5% cancellation fee after the host has accepted the request.

If you’re ready to book a place on, you can send a request to the host to book a reservation. If you’re unsure about the listing or its availability, you can also send a message to the host.

To send a reservation request:

  1. On a listing, click Request to Book.
  2. Review your reservation details to make sure everything is correct.
  3. Add your payment information
  4. Agree to the policies and terms, including the work culture policy and house rules.
  5. Wait for the host’s response. Most host replies within a few hours.
